Gaurav Burman is a Director of Dabur International and a 5th generation member of the family that founded Dabur over 135 years ago. Dabur has today grown to become the largest Indian FMCG company and manufactures a range of over 400 products in Health Care, Oral Care, Personal Care, Home Care, Packaged Foods, and Fruit juices. Dabur became a listed business in 1995, and today has a market capitalization of around US$ 8 billion.
In 1996, Gaurav and his family started to invest in new businesses and today the Burman family have investments in Health Care, Media, Financial Services, Retail, and Education, and have multiple joint ventures with Global Fortune 100 businesses including Aviva for Life Insurance, Espirito Santo for Banking, Bongrain for dairy products, and previously with Fidelity and ABN Amro.
Gaurav manages his family’s investment program, which has an investment portfolio with a value of more than US$1 billion and has been responsible for many of these joint ventures and investments.
Gaurav developed interest in Hospitality sector and has in recent past done multiple investments in the sector. Some of his investments include The Albion Pub, IL Mulino, Tossed, Elephant Taverns and Burman Hospitality which is the sole franchisee of Taco Bell India.
He has an overall 35+years of experience in Projects, Retail development & Facility Management. Prior to join us he was associated with Keventers, Jubilant Food Works Ltd, Jones Lang Lasalle Meghraj, Insignia Brooke, Group Usha, Creative Construction & Vishal Builders.
He has an overall 26 years of experience in managing large-scale business Operations, Training & Development, Quality Assurance, Marketing strategy and P&L management. Prior to join us he was associated with Chaipoint, Stanza Living, TFS & Dómino's Pizza India Ltd.
He has an overall 25 years of experience in Food, Retail & Hospitality Sectors. Prior to join us he was associated with, Stanza Living, Plutusone Hospitality Pvt Ltd, Devyani International Pvt Ltd & Jubilant Foodworks Ltd.
Mr. Harneet Singh Rajpal has joined us as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Harneet Singh Rajpal is a B.E Mechanical graduate and an alumni of Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, with over 23 years of remarkable experience in QSR, Ecommerce, Automobiles & Consumer Durables. Previously, he was associated with TVS Motor, Kohler India, Jubilant FoodWorks, Zopper & Shopclues. Most recently, He served as the CEO of Domino's Indonesia.
Kunal heads the Marketing function for Burman Hospitality as a Chief Marketing Officer. He comes with a strong 20+ years of Food and Beverage experience across key FMCG organizations such as Dabur, Coca Cola and Nestle across Indian and Overseas markets. Kunal specializes in Brand and Category building through integrated marketing communication, consumer focused communication as well as innovation. His key responsibility is to drive the expansion plan for Taco Bell in India by leading the brand and business strategy, build awareness for Brand Taco Bell and drive innovation to establish Taco Bell an iconic brand for Indian consumers.
Mr. Ajay Singhal has joined us as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Ajay Singhal is a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi. He has a rich and diverse experience of over 25+ years in various domains such as QSR, IT & Retail. His illustrious career has seen him contribute significantly to several renowned organisations such as Fuel Buddy, Stonex India, Blackberrys Menswear, Jubilant FoodWorks, and Newgen Software Technologies.
Anagha is an architect by qualification with 20+ years of industry experience. She has worked with brands like DLF & Yum in her earlier stints. At Burman Hospitality, she oversees all aspects of pre-opening as Sr. Vice President – Design & Projects. Anagha specializes in Design Innovation, and she is passionate about sustainable design that balances the brand identity with local sensibility and focuses on robust business value at the same time. She, along with her team at Burman Hospitality, has been instrumental in bringing fresh new elements to the global design template of Taco Bell restaurants. These innovations and improvisations have now been adopted by Taco Bell globally as brand standards.
Prashanth comes with 25+ years of experience in areas of Operations, Real estate & Project Management. He has been an architect of growth in key roles with brands like Pizza Hut, KFC, Eat fit & Cult. Prashanth is responsible for driving the growth agenda of the brand, defining the strategy for expansion with a motto of building lot more stores profitably. His experience in the QSR segment across operations & business development brings in the knowledge to expand with the right model & identifying brand-building sites in relevant trade areas & markets in India
Seema Tripathi heads the HR & Admin function as Vice President – HR & Admin. With over 18 years of diversified experience, she is responsible for leading the entire gamut of employee lifecycle management in the organization. She has previously been associated with Café Coffee Day, Devyani International, Crowne Plaza and International Recreation Parks.
A multifunctional leader with proven expertise in developing Scalable Supply Chain solutions for organizations that are set on high growth and mature environments. Has diverse experience in Retail, Wholesale and QSR segments having worked with organizations viz; Big Bazaar, Metro Cash & Carry, Bharti Wal-Mart, McDonald's India and Paradise Food Courts. Specializes in Procurement, Quality Assurance, New Product Development, and contingency planning for Food, Packaging, and Equipment. At Burman Hospitality Pvt. Ltd, works as Vice President - SCM, to formulate and execute short and long-term supply chain strategies and build a team for the future that will support growth and expansion.
Mr. Kunal, who has joined us as AVP-Information & Technology. Mr. Kunal is a Postgraduate from IIBM, with over 23+ years of Information & Technology experience across QSR industry. Previously, he was associated with Jubilant Foodworks International, Fenix Pizza Co. Ltd. & Jubilant FoodWorks India.
Peter D'Mello, who has joined us as Vice President - Product Innovation. Peter is a Hotel Management graduate from IHM Goa and an alumni of Cornell University & IMT Ghaziabad, with over 26 years of F&B experience across cruise, hotel and QSR industries. Previously, he was associated with Carnival Cruise Lines, Rotana Group of hotels, Intercontinental Group of Hotels & Jubilant Foodworks Ltd.
